PT stands for "peak and trough"; it is a really useful circuit - an updated take on a well known design.
It is basically a less precise analogue logic voltage processor.
The Peak part is effectively a diode OR gate; an emitter follower (the lower transistor) is used to cancel out the voltage drop of the input diodes. The upper transistor is a constant current sink acting as a pull-up.
The Trough part is the reverse of the Peak, based around a diode AND gate, again with an emitter follower (upper transistor) compensating for the voltage drop across the input diodes, and a current source acting as a pull-down.
In our version, there are panel mount manual peak and trough pots and additional inputs on the back for both circuits.
Despite the module is panel mount, standard mounting holes are still there, so you can still use the board in "OG" style in a larger full panel system.
Tip; you can wire the the outputs of the circuits to the additional inputs.
Note, no wiring needed, but mind the top transistor orientation on rev1 boards, mentioned in the build documents!
